Global executive to accelerate drive of IoT, cybersecurity, peering and global messaging growth in the Americas

NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- KDDI Corporation announced the appointment of Kohtaro Murasawa as President and Chief Executive Officer of KDDI America, Inc. and Telehouse America, effective immediately, reinforcing its commitment to expanding advanced ICT and digital infrastructure services across the Americas. Murasawa succeeds Satoshi Oishi, who will return to Japan to take on a new leadership role within KDDI.

Murasawa brings more than three decades of international leadership experience within KDDI, with roles spanning the United States, Europe and Japan. He has previously led global enterprise initiatives, scaled multinational customer engagement and delivered network, IoT and data center solutions for organizations operating in varied and complex environments.

Most recently, Murasawa served as Deputy General Manager of KDDI’s Public Sector and Financial Industry Business Division, where he oversaw sales operations for corporate, government and major financial institution clients. In this role, he led delivery of advanced WAN, IoT and data center solutions to highly regulated industries.

“KDDI America and Telehouse America are ideal partners to our customers’ global growth strategies,” said Kohtaro Murasawa. “We will scale our capabilities in digital transformation, cybersecurity, IoT and digital infrastructure while strengthening our colocation and interconnection platforms to meet rising demand for secure, high-performance global services.”

Murasawa added, “Our priority is to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions that simplify complexity for enterprises operating across borders. By combining connectivity, advanced technologies and global operational expertise, we will drive measurable outcomes for our customers and expand our leadership in the digital infrastructure market.”

Satoshi Oishi leaves the role following a successful tenure in which he sharpened the organizations’ strategic direction and expanded their presence in key growth areas.

“It has been a privilege to lead these organizations,” said Satoshi Oishi. “Together, we have enhanced our service capabilities, strengthened partnerships, and reinforced our foundation for continued success. I am confident that KDDI America and Telehouse America will continue to deliver exceptional value to our customers under Murasawa’s leadership.”

KDDI America and Telehouse America are committed to advancing customer success in a rapidly changing digital landscape. Through a customer-first approach, the organizations deliver integrated solutions across network, cloud, IoT, AI, cybersecurity, global messaging along with colocation and interconnection services—enabling enterprises to operate with greater speed, security and scale. Backed by Telehouse America’s carrier-neutral data centers and robust peering ecosystem, KDDI America continues to power seamless global connectivity and drive meaningful business outcomes.
